We have been at Poppy Mountain since September 1st. There were people here before us and all for the festival that starts this Tuesday the 17th! These are die-hard blue grassers and ATV enthusiasts! The blue hills of Kentucky are amazing. You never know what you will see, raccoons rummaging around, hound dogs following you around and loose ponies wandering the grounds. The site is an old farm site on 100’s of acres of rolling hills. We visited the Natural Bridge in the Daniel Boone National Forest and took the Red River Gorge Scenic Byway! Beautiful country. We are so excited that our good friends Jim and Dona Bledsoe came to Kentucky to join us for the festival! We are having a good time and the festival hasn’t even started yet! Dona and I went Antique shopping, which is a darn shame – since I can’t buy anything! They are also here to visit family in London, Kentucky while they are out here. We may join them if possible!
