We will be staying in the Manassas and the Washington DC area longer than we thought so we will have ample time to see everything in Washington DC that we want to. On the upside, we have a long list of things to see. The downside is that every time we went into the city our list got longer! It would take a long time to see everything there is. We went to the White House, the Capitol, two of the 19 Smithsonian museums, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, Korean War – Vietnam War – World War II Memorials, Iwa Jima Memorial and Arlington Cemetery. We went to JFKs Memorial and the tomb of the unknown soldier. All I can say is that the experience was life changing. I know I am forgetting something, but folks – GO HERE! At least once in your life time! Won’t make any comments about who is running the place right now! I prefer to focus on the history and what it took to form this great country of ours! (it will be great again).
